The NZUS council is a membership organisation striving to ensure New Zealand is sustainably connected with US leaders and innovators to create a developing, positive partnership. They look to drive this initiative by bringing together leaders (political and business), maximising economic integration and the strategic interests of Council members.
They are now looking for an individual who will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of a strategy to deliver on the mission of the council. Among your goals will be to encourage increased engagement between NZ and US policy makers, agencies, business leaders and influencers. You will be responsible for the continued development of a network of leaders and diverse membership that reflects those engaged in the bilateral relationship. You will develop the Council’s role as a platform for policy debate and undertake advocacy on behalf of the bilateral relationship.
You will possess the following attributes:
· Experience of developing and implementing strategic plans across an organization.
· Background in the development of policy and knowledge of how to leverage policy platforms to get key messages across.
· Be able to display an entrepreneurial flair in developing new networks and building on the membership base.
· Experience of undertaking operational tasks that will help deliver on high profile events.
